  • Aspiring to retire with confidence and wishing to leave an intentional legacy for their loved ones and charitable pursuits.
  • Investors who have accumulated $2 Million or more in savings, retirement, and brokerage accounts.
  • In addition to working with clients who meet the above characteristics, Allison also mentors other advisors at the firm, leads our Advisor Book Club, and sponsors our corporate partnership with 3rd Decade to promote financial literacy for the next generation.

As well as having the Certified Financial Planner® designation, Allison is specifically skilled and trained to work with clients experiencing major life transitions such as divorce, loss of a spouse, sale of a business, retirement, inheritance, or other important life events.  She earned the Certified Financial Transitionist® designation from the Sudden Money Institute in 2022.  The CeFT® is an advanced professional program that combines planning with cutting-edge research in neurology, sociology, and psychology to help clients successfully navigate both the technical and personal sides of major life transitions involving money.  The training closely follows the thought that there are two sides to money, the technical and the human side, and both are equally important.

In addition to working with clients, Allison is also passionate about financial education and empowering women in finance.  She has volunteered with many financial education initiatives including:

  • Serving as a WIN Advocate for the CFP® Board
  • SavvyLadies
  • NAPFA and Kiplinger’s “Maximize your Money” Events
  • Building Homes for Heroes
  • 3rd Decade

You will hear her as a guest contributor on the Financial Symmetry podcast, offering specialized financial planning advice for retirees.  She also enjoys writing blog posts that address complex financial topics in a relatable way, often infusing humor and relating financial situations to her favorite sitcoms and pop culture references:

  • Stop the show
  • Investing, Not Gambling
  • Capital One Data Breach
  • Are you a Spite Spender?

Allison grew up in Charlotte, NC before attending NC State University.  She credits her parents for instilling her with a strong work ethic and modeling responsible spending habits.  She and her husband Jason have two sons, Ryan, and Sebastian. Her other interests include health and fitness, traveling, and soccer.
