Financial Symmetry’s Internship is Accepting Applicants for Summer-Fall 2025 Semesters

For over 23 years, Financial Symmetry has proudly partnered with North Carolina State University (NCSU), welcoming many of our team members as interns from NC State. We are excited to offer our dynamic internship program to undergraduates in the Triangle area.

About the Internship

Experience: Dive into the exciting world of personal financial planning and wealth management with our immersive, hands-on internship.

Schedule:

  • Fall and Spring* Semesters: Flexible part-time positions (15-20 hours/week from late August to December and January to May). *Please note our Spring 2025 internship is full.
  • Summer: Nearly full-time option (up to 35 hours/week from May to August).

Location: Our Raleigh office, conveniently located near the Lenovo Center and Carter-Finley Stadium, provides an engaging professional environment.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for motivated undergraduates pursuing degrees in finance, accounting, or operations management, who have:

  • A strong interest in finance.
  • Basic knowledge of personal finance terminology.
  • A desire to explore the wealth management and personal financial planning industry.

What to Expect

As an intern, you’ll gain invaluable experience by:

  • Managing the inventory of client assets, liabilities, incomes, and expenses.
  • Digitizing documents and contributing to the financial planning process.
  • Assisting with account data reconciliation and performance reporting.
  • Learn about tax planning and tax prep work.
  • Supporting trade verification and data integrity tasks.
  • Engaging in client cash flow monitoring and presentation preparation.
  • Improving firm processes and participating in marketing and onboarding projects.
