Haley Modlin, CFP® is Financial Symmetry’s Newest Advisor

Heather Gudac

Haley Modlin has recently met all requirements necessary to become a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), the highest financial planning credential available. Earning the CFP® certificate is the next step of Haley’s career at Financial Symmetry, as it allows her to provide individuals and families with services related to their financial and personal goals. With this achievement, Haley has been promoted to a primary advisor with Financial Symmetry. She becomes the sixth employee that has started their career with us an intern is now a CFP® professional and Financial Advisor.

The CFP® certification is a rigorous program requiring hours of coursework and examinations. Haley completed all seven courses required for the education portion of the certification process through the College for Financial Planning and completed her CFP® certification exam in November 2019.

The certification also requires each candidate to have three years of professional experience in the financial services industry. Haley surpasses this requirement by having joined Financial Symmetry full-time in 2014, after graduating from NC State University with a degree in Business Administration.

Financial Symmetry requires all advisors to become CFP® certified as part of its commitment to provide unbiased financial advice to clients. The CFP® Board’s thorough process provides a strong foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge, which Financial Symmetry advisors use daily to provide services and advice that are in the client’s best interests. Haley becomes the sixth employee that has started their career with us an intern is now a CFP® professional and Financial Advisor.

“Haley has excelled within every role so far that she has held with Financial Symmetry and we are thrilled for this next chapter in her career. Her dedication to supporting and helping our clients through onboarding and financial planning has prepared her for an Advisor role. Financial Symmetry is excited to have her serving our clients in a new capacity,” says Operations Manager and Firm Partner Heather Gudac. “Haley brings a unique set of skills and experience to our client relationships, as she’s been a critical figure in each step of our comprehensive service model. We’re all proud of the achievements she has reached so far at Financial Symmetry, and are excited to see what the future holds for her as a Certified Financial Planner™.”

To retain his CFP® designation, Haley will have to complete 30 hours of continuing education and renew her credential every 2 years.
