However, if you pay off your balance every month, credit cards have some important benefits to consider before making your next purchase. A recent article on Yahoo! Finance shares the 6 times that you are better off using a credit card instead of a debit card:

  1. Renting a car
  2. Staying in a hotel
  3. When paying your balance in full
  4. Ordering something to be delivered in the future
  5. When you need an extended warranty
  6. When you’re traveling

It’s also important to consider the additional security of using credit card over debit card, and the potential to earn points/cash back if you use the credit responsibly and pay off balance every month. To read more about these 6 times to use a credit card, visit Yahoo! Finance.
